Carcassonne is a tile-placement game in which players build a landscape inspired by southern France. Draw a tile showing a city, road, monastery, fields or a combination of these, and place it so that its features connect to those already on the table.
After placing a tile, you may place one of your playing pieces on a feature: a knight in a city, a highwayman on a road, a monk in a monastery or a farmer in a field. Use your pieces to claim areas and score points.
Should you commit your last piece? Expand your own city or make an opponent’s project harder to finish? Turns are quick — place one tile and optionally one piece — but every decision opens up possibilities.
